Comments on the progress of our next book. I am very enthusiastic about the progress of

our next book, The Supernatural Power of the Living Word of God. Draft #4 has been completed

and we are making steady progress on Draft #5. This draft will be approximately 90% of what the

finished product will be. We believe that this book will go to the printer in May or June. If anyone

would like a draft of this manuscript, please let us know. If you have any comments on what you

read, would you be willing to send them to us so that others will be helped?

An update on our continuing relationship with evangelist Jack Malone and his ministry in

the Philippines: Judy and I first met Rev. Jack Malone at a Christmas party at our church in

December of 2002. As the weeks went by and we developed a closer relationship with Jack, we

could clearly see that the Lord wanted us to work with him on his upcoming move to the

Philippines to establish a ministry there.

We spent many hours helping Jack to prepare for this major undertaking. On April 4, 2003 Jack

landed in the Philippines with a heart full of love and an excitement that he could not contain.

Even though he did not have enough money to get this ministry off the ground and he did not have

a church or a denomination supporting him, Jack set out to do whatever he could for the Lord

Jesus.

Since that time more than 321,000 (!!!!) Filipinos have answered Jack’s call to pray a prayer of

repentance to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Sometimes Jack holds crusades in

large stadiums. Other times he goes to primitive rural areas that have no electricity. Jack’s

schedule is filled to overflowing each week. His ministry is very fruitful.

Our relationship with Jack has been ongoing. We have kept in contact with him through an

average of approximately 6 emails a month during the last four years. The following are comments

from one of Jack’s recent monthly newsletters:

"I have spent 38 years in different assignments the Lord has laid on my heart. I have been a

pastor, an evangelist, singer, businessman, motivational speaker and now a missionary. If I had to

do it all over again, I can tell you that without exception I would have been a missionary. If I had it

to do all over again, I would have come to the Philippines 38 years ago.

We have seen more response, more excitement, more sincerity and more commitment in the

Philippines than in the previous 34 years of ministry. The people in the Philippines are not gospelhardened. These people are not judgmental the way that many people are in America.

I never thought I would go to a mosquito-infested, hot Third World country. I knew what it was like

to live in a rich fashion. I had a big leather couch and a big screen TV, all of the remote control

devices, an unlimited cell phone and a Cadillac. All of these things are gone now and I don't regret

giving them up.

If I had it to do all over again, I would sit down with the squatters who do not own the land that they

build a cardboard and grass building on. I would sit down and eat their meager rice and the fish

that I hate. I would do it again and again.

The real joys of life are not in things - cars, houses, money and sports. The real joy in life is

serving the Lord. In the Philippines the danger warning is at its highest level ever. A visiting friend

said, 'Aren't you afraid that you might get shot at?'. I don't have time to be afraid. I don't have time

to hide. Even the roughest of men raise their hands to accept the precious Jesus I tell them

about."

I invite you to visit India Gospel Fellowship with me. Since 1997 when God ordained that Pastor

Ebenezer and I would meet, Pastor Ebenezer and I have envisioned a yearly short-term mission

trip to India in January of 2008. The purpose of the trip is to open the eyes of the travelers to what

God is doing through India Gospel Fellowship as well as to gain a burden for the souls of the one

billion people who live in India. Pastor Ebenezer teaches the principles of Trust God for Your

Finances. We are trusting God for funds to reprint the Tamil translation which he already has

taught to more than one thousand Indian pastors.

You will remember from our past newsletters that Pastor Ebenezer chose the Andaman Islands as

the six month outreach for the first Bible school during the second year of study. Over 300,000

tracts were distributed in the local dialect. These students lived in a remote area and walked to

villages daily to love the people and share Christ. No one ever dreamed that the tsunami would

wipe out thousands of people on these islands. We will know when we reach heaven how many

people are there because of these Bible students.

Pastor Ebenezer will reopen the Bible school in July with ten students. He will do this on a very

limited budget as he steps out in faith on God. Pastor Ebenezer will train the students for three

years with intense prayer, total command of the Bible, outreaches to villages, medical clinics, daily

orphanage experience and crusades as he is able. In January we will participate in the activities

with the Bible school students, experiencing all aspects of ministry, practical and spiritual. Prayer is

key at IGF, morning and evening, glorious times.

Please contact me if you would like more information about our trip to India in January of 2008. As

God provides the finances I am planning a preliminary trip in June/July (dates not set yet) with a

trip to Zambia at the same time. We will visit Pastor Jim Koshita Kamufakache who uses our

publications extensively in his ministry. We will stop in London on the return trip to stay in the

home of our London Lamplight representative, Godfried Geyevu. If anyone is interested in this trip,

please let me know.

A mission trip is not for the faint of heart. You must be totally flexible, able to deal with delays and

travel frustrations, and get along well with others. You must be healthy. Traveling is rigorous. For

those who consider traveling with us, I will educate you regarding traveling to a foreign nation.

Each trip will be life changing. You will have a tug in your heart if you are supposed to goJ I look

forward to hearing from you. You are ever so welcome in India. You will seeJ The children will

win your hearts immediately.

REQUEST FROM A PASTOR IN PAKISTAN - I am corresponding with a pastor in Pakistan about

the translation of one of our books into Farsi or Arabic. For several years I have had this goal. I

won’t mention the name, but please pray for this pastor.

PRISON OUTREACH - We continually receive requests to send books to prison inmates who then

write to thank us. Thank you for helping us to send books to prisons and for praying for Lamplight’s

outreach to inmates. We are blessed to serve the God Who gives us a second chance. Pray for

favor for the inmates in Christ Jesus who face great difficulty when they leave prison.
