said, “I came to China from Cambodia where I was a captain in the army. I was a Buddhist. Four weeks before I came to China I had a dream where Jesus

be Like?. This book answered many
questions for me. My English is not
very good, but this book is written in very simple English. I have found new life through this

A 95 YEAR
OLD HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR WHO WAS A CHRONIC WORRIER HAS BEEN HELPED BY OUR
SCRIPTURE CARDS. Karen Piccard-Baumann wrote to us saying, “My mom is
95 years old. She was in the
Bergen-Belsen Concentration
Camp in Germany from 1943 to 1945. She
has always had a lot of worry and fear.
My mother was helped greatly in overcoming this problem by your
Scripture cards titled Freedom from Worry
and Fear. She was helped so much
that she asked me to order another set to give to a friend.” (We are so
pleased that the Lord has used these Scripture cards to help this elderly
woman who lived through the horror of the Holocaust. Praise the Lord.)

COMMENTS FROM JACK HARTMAN
A tribute to one of my
best friends and an amazing story of God's faithfulness. In December
of 1995 Judy and I prayed for a new dog.
The Lord gave us Holly. She was
a close and intimate friend for twelve years and three months. I have gone for more than 2,000 walks with
Holly. She often sat beside me when I
watched television (sports and weather only) or Christian videos (Gaither
gospel music). Holly and I were the
best of friends.
Holly
appeared to be in tremendous physical condition. She ran with Judy when she jogged. She took many long, brisk walks with me. However, in just a few days in late March
her health deteriorated rapidly. Holly
was dead within one week after appearing to be relatively normal. Judy and I are very grateful for this
wonderful dog. Thank you, dear Jesus,
for Holly.
We
decided to prayerfully seek another dog as soon as possible after Holly’s
death. Judy and I logged onto the
Internet and looked at several dogs.
Judy decided to go UnderDog Rescue Florida in Brandon to look at a dog
named Posh. I liked what I saw of that
dog on the internet, but I did not like the name Posh.
When
I thought of the name that I would most like to have for a dog, that name was
Jesus. As I thought about this, I
realized that Jesus would not be a proper name for a dog. As I thought some more I decided that one
name I was interested in was J.C. with these initials standing for Jesus
Christ.
Judy
knew nothing about this. I made this
decision while she was in Brandon.
Shortly after this, Judy called me on her cell phone. After looking at Posh she concluded that
this dog was too hyper. She told me that
she was bringing home Posh's brother for me to look at. She said that this three month old puppy was
much quieter. She thought that I would
like the puppy. After giving me some
more information, I asked Judy the name of the puppy. Are you ready for this answer?
Judy said that the name of the puppy was J.C.
I
was overwhelmed. When this puppy was
born he was named for a musical group that goes by the name of J.C. I am in absolute awe of what happened. The odds of me choosing the name J.C. for
our new dog as a tribute to Jesus Christ and Judy calling shortly after that to
tell me that she had a puppy with the same
name are incalculable.
J.C.
now has been with us for almost one month.
He is a combination of a Springer Spaniel and a Lab. J.C. is a beautiful puppy. Judy and I are so excited that Jesus cares
so much about us that He definitely showed us that He had chosen this wonderful
new dog to replace our beloved Holly.
Thank you, Jesus.
An update on our next book: We continue to work diligently
on our next book which is titled What
Does God Say? I believe that this
book is far and away the most important
book we have ever written. I have
worked on this book every day since January of 2007.
We currently are completing
Draft #5. This book will require at
least eight or nine drafts. What Does God Say? is so intricate and
detailed that I find it difficult to summarize in a few words. When you read this book we believe you will
find that it is extremely comprehensive and also very easy to understand.
We cannot accurately
predict the date when the book will be completed. We will not go to the
printer until we have peace from the Lord that everything in the book is
exactly as He wants it. We believe that
this book could be completed in June or July, but we cannot say for
certain. We will keep you posted.
Please pray
about supporting our ministry financially. As you can see from all of the
comments in our newsletters, the Lord is using us to reach around the world to
help many people. The average cost for postage, the shipping container and
Elizabeth’s time is approximately $15 a book.
We have spent a large amount of money airmailing our publications to
these people. Airmail now is the only
option to these foreign countries.
Please pray about sending us a generous contribution
to help us continue the work the Lord has called us to do. Please pray about becoming a monthly partner
of Lamplight Ministries. Our cash flow
challenges are caused by the fact that we do not have enough monthly partners
to provide consistent income each and every month. Thank you in advance for any financial help the Lord leads you to

COMMENTS FROM JUDY HARTMAN
Thank
you for your notes letting me know what is happening in your life. I enjoy writing to you and learning what God
is doing in your life. I especially
enjoy hearing how you are using our publications in a Bible study.
I
just returned from New Hampshire where I attended the Fiftieth Year Celebration
of the founding of Northeast Planning Associates. Jack was the original founder of this firm. He still serves as a consultant to NPA. One hundred seventy four people attended the
gala event that was held at Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle, New Hampshire.
Jack
is almost seventy-seven years old. He
is in good health, but he does not travel because of a digestive disorder. I attended this meeting representing him. What an honor it was. Several advisors and members of their staff
came to tell me what a great influence Jack has had upon their lives. One after another of these people told me
that they would not be where they are today if Jack had not coached them along
the way through difficult times.
I
will prepare a story of Jack’s business life one day because the story must be
told. For now I will just summarize how
Northeast Planning Associates developed into what it is today. When Ed Hiers was twenty-three and Jack was
forty-three, Jack recognized in Ed the leadership qualities to become what now
has become so evident. Neither of them
were Christians at the time. First Jack
and then Ed came to know the Lord and apply biblical principles to the
operation of the financial planning firm.
In addition to heading up NPA, Ed now is an ordained minister. He serves as the pastor of Shiloh Christian
Fellowship in Manchester, NH.
For
fifty years Jack has been coaching advisors in the financial planning
field. At the same time Jack was
teaching a Tuesday night Bible study that grew out of Jack’s finding hundreds
of passages of Scripture to help him out of his problems. In one year this Bible study grew from 8
people to more than 300 people coming every Tuesday night.
I
want to take this time to continue the tribute to Jack who has invested his
life in so many people for so many years.
Jack coaches advisors in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts
by telephone from our home in Florida.
I was so blessed to be able to hear from them in person what Jack has
meant and still means in their lives.
Please
pray for Victor and Tatyana Petrenko in Ukraine who saw three thousand people
saved through their ministry in two months.
The Mayor of Kiev, a Christian brother, sent a letter to Victor stating
that the government gives land to churches that have a bank statement of
$100,000, which shows that they can build buildings in the future. Victor needs someone to place $100,000 in
Holy Spirit Ministries International in order to give the statement to the
Mayor. The money will then be
returned. The money would go into The
Holy Spirit Ministries bank account in Pennsylvania. Victor knows that if the land is given that God will provide the
money for building the church. You can

I
met Victor when I attended Bible school at the River in Tampa, FL. He is the most sold out to Jesus man I have
ever met. He is bold and unstoppable. Please study his website to see the heart of
a man who is reaching thousands in the Ukraine with the gospel. Jack and I recommend Victor as good soil
with tested and proven integrity.
Our
prayer is that our books will be translated into every known language. God is so good to have provided us with so
many contacts with people who take our books to their nations and then
translate one or more into their language.
We thank God for the privilege of writing from His Word in an
easy-to-understand manner that translates well into any language.
