we are pleased with the initial response to What Does God Say? This book was received from the printer a little over a month ago so we have not had an opportunity yet to receive numerous comments. The comments we have received have been very exciting. Many people already are being helped by this book. We believe that large numbers of people throughout the world will be helped in the months and years to come.

One man told me that he is not a good reader. He said that he has always had problems understanding what he reads. He is amazed how quickly he has been able to understand the contents of What Does God Say?. He said that he gave his life to Jesus Christ as a result of reading this book. He is looking forward to continuing to learn from the Scripture references in this book and from our explanation of the Scripture.

Another man told me that he is unable to put this book down. He spends every possible minute reading What Does God Say?. He is amazed at how much he is learning with each passing day. He is very excited about this book.

These comments are from people I have talked with personally. Because of mailing time and reading time, it is premature to have many comments from people who received this book by mail, have read this book and then responded to us. We spent an enormous amount of time writing this book. We believe that we have planted excellent seeds into God’s kingdom. We believe that the months and years to come will show an enormous harvest from the seeds we have planted with this book.

A pRogress report on OUR NExt BOOK. I have completed Draft #1 of Victory Over Adversity. As this newsletter goes to print, I have completed twenty-five chapters of Draft #2. I am moving rapidly forward to complete this draft. As always, Judy will begin writing on Draft #3. She will be adding many unique thoughts and concepts to this book in the forthcoming months.

The first part of this book could be perceived as being negative in nature. The initial chapters explain why we believe there is cause for concern that adversity in the world will increase during these last days before Jesus Christ returns. We give several passages of Scripture to illustrate this concept. We also provide a great deal of specific information as to what is going on in the world today that gives cause for concern.

This is not a book of gloom and doom. We believe that a problem that is well defined is half solved. We define the problem in the initial chapters and then devote all of the remainder of the book to giving readers God’s specific instructions and promises to overcome these problems.

There is no question that our loving Father has made complete provision for His children during these last days before Jesus Christ returns. However, you must do your part. The Bible says that God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (see Hosea 4:6). This book will help you to pay the price to learn exactly what your Father wants you to learn so that you will know exactly what to do to receive the blessings He has promised to you.

God has said that it is impossible for you to please Him if you do not have faith in Him (see Hebrews 11:6). This book will show you exactly what to do to increase your faith in God’s provision and protection for you during the difficult times that we believe are coming upon the world.

We are very excited about this book. We believe that the scriptural contents and our explanation of this Scripture will help many people. We will continue to work steadily on this book and give you a progress report each month.

PLEASE PRAY ABOUT giving us financial SUPPORT to fulfill the many requests we have from Third World countries. Because of the large 2007 postage rate increase for foreign mail, we estimate that it costs us approximately $15 per book for shipping, handling and the mailing container to send a book to someone in a Third World country. Unlike some ministries, we have not stopped sending our books to needy people in foreign countries. However, we have had to limit these books because we simply do not have the money we would like to have to give away large numbers of our books to these needy people.

We have many requests from people in Third World countries that we are unable to fulfill. We are trusting God to supply the money we need to pay the exorbitant costs to send these books to these needy people. We will require a large amount of money in the next few months to fulfill the requests we already have.

You can see by the comments in our monthly newsletters that we are helping many people. Please pray and ask the Lord if He would have you send us a generous donation so that we will be able to fulfill the requests we have been unable to fulfill because of the large amount of money that is required. Also, please pray about becoming a monthly partner of Lamplight Ministries so that you can help us each and every month to help needy people around the world. Thank you and God bless you.

By the time you receive our newsletter, our website should be up and running with our new webhost, Ryan Hobus. Please pray for Ryan as he creates for us a website that will bring people into the presence of Jesus, direct them to a relationship with Him, help them to discover their gifts from God and use them, and to immerse themselves in God’s Word and obey it. Please let us know how you like our website. Also, we invite any suggestions that you have that will help us to create a place where the presence of God is experienced and God is glorified. Our goal is to touch each visitor deeply.

We have been climbing some mountains. One was placing our new book on our website. In the midst of this delay, we changed webhosts, so the delay was increased. Please forgive the inconvenience if you went to look for What Does God Say? to order it and could not find it on our website. It should be there by the time you receive this newsletter.

Our new book, What Does God Say?, took thirty years of Jack’s life and all of my Bible study life to write. There are ninety-four topics with the topics on heaven, hell, and eternal salvation at the beginning of the book. You just have to see this book. It is excellent for someone who knows nothing about the Bible as well as for a believer who wants ready references on specific topics. The price for this 545-page book is $18 with a 50% discount for ten or more of any of our publications and a 40% discount for five to nine of any of our publications. You might like to save small amounts of money all month in order to send money for us to send our books to a specific nation: India, South Africa, the Philippines, Pakistan, Thailand, China, Ukraine, Zambia, Nigeria, Kenya, or many other countries. Pastors and leaders are eagerly awaiting books to be shipped to themJ We believe What Does God Say? will be a huge blessing to them.

Jack has already completed the first draft of the next book. I am beginning my part and will be working on it daily. Please pray for wisdom and God’s anointing on us as we prepare the next meals of spiritual food from the Word of God in bite-sized, easy-to-understand pieces.

Because Jack and I believe that difficult times are approaching and are already here for many people, I am putting action to my desire to have an organic garden. I am using www.squarefootgardening as my model. I now have two four by eight foot beds above the ground that are being filled with 1/3 vermiculite, 1/3 peat moss, and 1/3 organic compost.

If I were doing it again, I would purchase the soil already prepared from www.squarefootgardening. I had to order vermiculite from a great company called www.mortonproducts.com. I will have the lattice work to create the squares built this week. Then I will plant tomatoes, pepper, cucumbers, peas, lettuce, spinach, kale, collards, celery, carrots, beets, green beans, marigolds, and other flowers as well.

When one square is harvested, I will replant it while other squares continue to bring forth their yield. I believe we all need to have our salads right in our yard or on the patio in pots ready for lunch or supper. I will keep you posted on our garden. When I placed some pepper plants in the garden frame to wait to be planted, some animals came and nibbled them down to the stems. I will have to put up some kind of fencing to keep rabbits, squirrels and raccoons away! The garden is for our neighbors but not our furry ones!

Pray with me every day to speak to someone about how much God loves them and that Jesus Christ is the answer to every problem or questionJ
