Paul Sanchez of Cebu City in the Philippines said, “I am not one to read books and my English is very poor so please understand what I say. I am poor financially but now I am rich spiritually. My life has been changed by the power of God’s holy Word in your book, Exchange Your Worries for God's Perfect Peace. It has taken me many months to finally read all of this book. By the time I get home from work it is very late so I don’t get to read a lot. My world is still one of poverty, but my hope and peace have finally been fed. I am like a bird let out of its cage and I can finally fly. I am going to give this book to my father. He is a good man but he is not into church stuff a lot. I pray it will do for him what it has done for me.”

THE FAITH OF A MAN FROM ZAMBIA WAS INCREASED SO MUCH FROM READING OUR BOOKS THAT HE PRAYED FOR A BLIND PERSON AND SHE RECEIVED HER SIGHT. Musonda Wilson said, “I and my wife, daughter and my extended family are passing warm greetings to your family and entire ministry. I am very grateful for the two books you have sent to me and my family and our church. I really appreciate Never, Never Give Up and Quiet Confidence in the Lord. Your prayers and the inspiration of these books have made my faith grow in the Lord. I prayed for a blind person and I thank God that she received her sight. You are a blessing to me and my family. A PASTOR IN ZAMBIA WHOSE WIFE RAN AWAY WITH ANOTHER MAN WAS GREATLY COMFORTED BY THE BOOKS WE SENT HIM. This man said, “I don’t know how to thank you for having listened to the Lord when you sent me Exchange Your Worries for God's Perfect Peace and Never, Never Give Up. These books came at a time when I was very worried about the situation in my life. I had lost my employment through liquidation. Because of this situation my wife ran away with another man. The book Never, Never Give Up has done so much to my spirit that even as I write I am happy. I have been so encouraged by these two books that were sent to me at the right time. These books are wonderful. They have helped much. May the good Lord give you the favor to help people like me in similar situations.”

Comments on the progress of our newest book. We are moving along steadily on our next book which will be titled The Supernatural Power of the Living Word of God. I have almost completed my part of Draft #3 of this book. Judy is steadily adding her writing and comments. Transcription of Draft #3 will be started in the near future. Draft #3 is significantly improved over Draft #2. We will be happy to send a copy of Draft #3 to any person who requests it.

I believe that very few Christians even begin to comprehend the magnitude of the supernatural power of the living Word of God. I am very enthusiastic about this book. Do you know what the word “enthusiasm” means? The English word “enthusiasm” is derived from two Greek words - “en” and “theos”. The prefix “en” means “in.” The word “theos” means “God.” If you are doing what God has called you to do for your life and you are extremely enthusiastic about what you are doing, you are “in God.” I am consumed with the assignment God has given me. I focus on this assignment continually.

Would you pray for me? The enormity of what God has called me to do with the rest of my life is tremendous. I pray continually that the remainder of my life will be much more productive for God than my life has been in the first 75 years. If I think about the totality of writing multiple drafts of the six books God has given me to write, the task seems to be overwhelming. So I work on one book at a time, one draft at a time, one chapter at a time and one day at a time.

I need your prayers. Although I do not have any physical challenges that are life threatening, I do have physical challenges as many people my age do. The project that God has assigned me will require mental acuity, physical stamina and anointing from God as I work diligently well into my eighties. I covet your prayers for my health and for a long, productive and fruitful life.

Please ask God if He would have you consistently join me in prayer for the successful completion of these six books – The Supernatural Power of the Living Word of God, God is Always with You, You Can Enter into God's Rest, Your Father Will Guard You and Protect You, Exchange Your Weakness for God's Supernatural Strength and Trust Completely in Your Father's Love. I have asked the woman who prepares the covers for our books to prepare covers for our next six books. I have in my possession the covers of these books. Each cover is exactly as I believe it will be when the books are completed. I constantly lay my hands on each of these covers as I ask God for the His anointing and for the physical strength, energy and vitality to complete these six books.

I will gladly send color copies of these six covers to anyone who will agree to join me in prayer on a regular basis (see Matthew 18:19-20 and James 5:16b). I feel a strong need to have other people agreeing with me in prayer for this project. If you will consistently join me in prayer, please write or email me and I will send you color copies of the covers. Thank you if you are seeking God on this important project.

A brief update on our current activity with inmates in prisons and jails. We often send free books and Scripture cards to inmates in prisons and jails. Sometimes we receive letters requesting that we send specific publications to individual inmates. We comply with these requests to the best of our ability.

My secretary, Marie Hart, recently wrote to an inmate in a federal penitentiary in Alabama regarding her opinion of our newest book. This man wrote back to Marie saying, “Jack has been a mentor to me and has taken time out of no time to maintain our communication. I love him as if he were my father. I thank God for having people like him and you on this earth to bring love and solace to others despite your own trials and tribulations, sickness and turmoil. Thank you for your encouragement and blessed words that bring a sprinkle of hope and happiness to my solitude and loneliness.”

We plan to give away a large number of books to a large local county jail shortly after the first of the year. We have given books to the chaplain of this large jail several times in the past. He faithfully distributes them to the inmates. We also are seeking God’s will for a penal institution in northern New England to give books from our New Hampshire warehouse.

Please pray about sending a generous contribution to Lamplight Ministries to help us send many publications to needy people in Third World countries and to inmates in prisons and jails. As 2006 closes we are reflecting upon our Lamplight team of workers who labor together to send the gospel of Jesus Christ through our publications to the corners of the world. We are so blessed by Elizabeth, our ordering and shipping lady who has been with us for fifteen years, Jack’s part-time secretaries, Marie and Gail, and by Judy Mangle who has transcribed our books for thirteen years. Judy also prepares the covers and the typesetting for the printer.

For years I have believed that I would have someone to help me. Now I have exactly the right person. Naomi Licek is working with me in my home office and will be doing Lamplight work from her home as well. I feel so blessed to have her and to enjoy her company as well as Elizabeth’s as we work together. Marie, Gail, and Judy work from their homes and are treasures as well.

I told you in our last newsletter about the new representative of Lamplight Ministries in London, England. Godfried Geyevu is trained in IT and wants to use his skills and abilities to provide Lamplight publications to the people of the United Kingdom. We have sent the first shipment of books to him to distribute in the UK. He is a man “full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom” as were the men the disciples sought to take care of their business. We are blessed by our relationship with Godfried and thank God for him. Please pray for the outreach of Lamplight into the United Kingdom, that we may be a part of a great revival throughout the land.

I enjoy getting to know you as you contact us. A new friend from California has a very special story. She has been in the prison ministry and visited prisons. Something very rare took place. She does not interact with the people in prison, but somehow came in contact with a man in prison who is preparing to be a pastor. He is the one who sent her our publications. So, we have an evangelist sending our books out of the prison, while we are sending them in! In the meantime, this man is out of prison. He was there because of crossing the border into the US from Mexico. He has returned to Mexico. A friendship is being established between this man and my new friend. Please pray for both of them as they seek God’s best for their lives.

Please pray for Pastor Ebenezer Moses and India Gospel Fellowship. Pastor Eb has been very sick. We are so thankful for those who have been touched by God to send an investment in India Gospel Fellowship. Every penny is well spent for the spread of the gospel in India.

We also request prayer for Rev. Jack and Irene Malone in the Philippines. Some of you may desire to invest in Christ’s Church of the Philippines. We will send 100% of your investment to them.

Please pray for Rollin and Cathy Anderson as they prepare to leave the US to begin serving as missionaries in Swaziland. Please pray for their house to sell. We will keep you posted on their plans.

We have spent several months working with Michael Glassberg on our website. We are grateful to God for bringing us together with Michael whose skills and abilities have brought our website capabilities to the higher dimension that we have so desired. We appreciate Michael’s overseeing our website and enjoy his friendship as well.
