Salvation – A Free Gift

Beloved,

We have not met in person, but we pray each day for whoever may visit our website. We pray that God will be more real to you than anything you can touch or see as He is to us.

On the cover of our book, What Does God Say?, we wrote “Please be certain to read pages 25 to 49 very carefully for facts on the most important decision you will ever make.” On page 27 are the two questions:

ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN WHERE YOU WILL GO WHEN YOU DIE?

WHAT WILL THE PLACE WHERE YOU WILL LIVE THROUGHOUT ETERNITY BE LIKE?

Then we describe heaven using many verses of Scripture. Here is one of them. “…we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, ” (II Corinthians 5:1-2 NIV)

Then we describe hell using many verses of Scripture. Here is one of them. “The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all causes of offense [persons by whom others are drawn into error or sin] and all who do iniquity and act wickedly, and will cast them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and wailing and grinding of teeth,” (Matthew 13:41-42).

Then we present God’s gift to every person who will receive it: salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life,” (John 3:16).

You must recognize your need for a Savior. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever taken anything that was not yours? Have you ever had an impure thought? “Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives,” (Romans 3:23 AMP).

God’s gift must be received. “For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord, (Romans 6:23 AMP).

How do you receive this gift? “Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved,” (Romans 10:9, 10 AMP).

You can receive the gift of God right now.

Pray this prayer understanding and believing in your heart:

“Dear Father in heaven, I come to you in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I ask you to come into my heart and forgive me of all of my sins. I turn away from them. I repent and have deep sorrow for every sin I have committed. Wash me, Father, and make me clean. Thank you for setting me free. I thank You for sending Your Son to die in my place. I thank You that right now I enter your family. I am your child. I have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord and My Savior. Thank you, Father, for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

“Even so, I tell you, there is joy among and in the presence of the angels of God over one[especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind for the better, heartily amending his ways, with abhorrence of his past sins), (Luke 15:10). God’s angels are rejoicing over you!

The parable of the lost sheep (Luke 15:4-7) explains how God cares about every single person. He would leave the ninety-nine and go looking for the one lost sheep to bring it back to the fold. He has done that for you. He has sent His only Son to die for you. God loves you so very much! Now you will never ever doubt that you are saved. Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit live in your heart. God provided the His Word to settle forever the question of your eternal destiny (I John 5:13). You have eternal life!
